i know this isn't quite a recent discovery but i realized,
i AM in the right profession.
though my mum begs to differ and says i should be working in child care-
but anyway-
i feel so pleased with myself when i make a guest happy and fulfil their wishes
that im smiling for hours just cause of it
and i know it's the whole "Raffles Standard" to have sincere service and blah-dee-blah
but i really do feel like i WANT to help them
it's not just my job
and it's not for generous tips either
(though those always make it all worthwhile)

for example, today i was just so happy that my arrival guests were so happy with their room
and so happy that i cld do everything (everything that's legal and moral- they always say) for them
and it was a room full of happy people i swear.
ha.

anyways, veering off topic,
im still sick and my throat really feels swollen
i think it's going around?
bcause i know of a few people who are suffering for the same thing
i had a guest today who was having a sore throat
i served her hot water, salt (to gargle) and some lemon slices
and mummy asked why i didnt do the same for myself.
hm.
why not?

ill just sip on my evian and hope that i'll heal overnight
